About the Licensed Practical Nursing Program
The demand for qualified licensed practical nurses is growing. As the nursing shortage expands across the country, LPN students will have little trouble finding meaningful, challenging employment. LPN's work in doctors’ offices, clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, and more, and are able to perform a wide variety of duties under the supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed physician.
Dover Business College prepares its students for this career by offering a five quarter Licensed Practical Nursing Program. Students learn the skills they need to compete – from technical skills to nursing skills to knowledge of health systems.
The LPN program at Dover Business College is a fifteen month day program, and students are required to complete 1424 credit hours. Upon completion, students must pass a cumulative nursing exam to qualify for graduation. Students are also eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam for licensure.
Applicants for the nursing program are required to have a high school diploma or GED, take an entrance exam, complete an essay and a personal interview, and have a physical exam conducted by a licensed doctor, RN, or medical assistant. They also must submit to a criminal background check.
Accreditation
Dover Business College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. The LPN program is accredited by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.

Financial Aid
Dover participates in federal financial aid programs. Students must fill out the FAFSA (free application for federal student aid) to determine eligibility. In addition, Dover offers scholarships to qualifying individuals. Tuition can be paid in full or in scheduled payments. Financial aid representatives are happy to design payment plans to meet students’ needs.
