Indiana Wesleyan University is a religion-based educational organization. The school was founded in 1920. The primary campus is located in Marion, Indiana and encompasses a College of Arts and Sciences, a College of Graduate Studies, and a College of Adult and Professional Studies.

About the RN to BSN Completion Program
The RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is designed to be completed in 19 months. Classes are provided on a rotating basis, so students find themselves part of a group that progresses through the core curriculum as a cohesive unit.
It is geared toward adult learners who have been in the nursing field for several years, so the emphasis is on more independent study and practical applications than in-class lecture. Additionally, this program is also offered in an online format, which adds even more flexibility for adult students.
Courses in this program include ethics, nursing theory, research, transcultural nursing, alternative therapies, and management, in addition to a number of other general nursing applications. Students who complete the course may be qualified to continue their education in pursuit of a Master of Nursing degree.
About the Master of Science in Nursing Programs
Available with majors in Primary Care, Nursing Education, and Nursing Administration, the Master of Science in Nursing program at Indiana Wesleyan University blends online coursework with classroom sessions, as part of the unique "EduFlex" format.
In the Primary Care Nursing program, the first year of the curriculum is taught online, with on campus courses beginning during practicum courses. Through this program, IWU also offers a Nurse Practitioner concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner.
Regardless of your program choice, IWU prepares graduates to seek employment in their respective fields. Graduates of the Nurse Practitioner program are eligible to take certification exams as gerontologic or family nurse practitioners, and Nursing Administration graduates will be ready to become a leader in a wide range of health care settings. Likewise, Nursing Education graduates will be well equipped to assume educational leadership roles in a variety of health care situations.
Accreditation
The school is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is also a member of the North Central Association. The Nursing program is further recognized by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education as well as the Ohio State Board of Nursing. Many of the school's locations also have local partnerships with area businesses and health care organizations as a way to strengthen community ties and encourage post-graduation employment.
