About the Associate's Degree in Practical Nursing Program
Nursing is a profession that is growing in the United States. Qualified nurses are greatly in demand, so graduates of Rasmussen’s Associates’ Degree in Practical Nursing Program will find excellent job prospects. Being a practical nurse is a rewarding and challenging job with several duties, including administering medication or starting IV's, assisting patients, assembling and using medical equipment, and providing basic patient care and treatments.
At Rasmussen, you will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to be an effective LPN. Areas of study include anatomy and physiology, psychology, sociology, medical terminology, nursing fundamentals, nutrition, and much more. Graduates will be well prepared to take the appropriate state licensing exam in order to become a licensed practical nurse. This program requires the completion of 90 credits.
