About MedVance Institute

Our health care industry is seeing an increase in patient needs and a shortage of nurses to provide the necessary support in hospitals and other health care facilities.  This demand is creating a tremendous opportunity for those wishing to enter the healthcare workplace in a support capacity.

Applicants wishing to attend MedVance need to contact the Admissions Office for specific program requirements, but it is expected that the applicant to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

About the Medical Assistant Program

Providing hands-on care to patients, medical assistants work closely with physicians and other practitioners, performing a wide range of office and clinical duties. In addition to hands-on training, graduates of the Medical Assisting program at MedVance Institute are eligible to take the Medical Assistant Certification exam.

Upon graduation, students of the Medical Assisting program at MedVance - Houston are well-prepared to seek employment in a variety of health care settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, outpatient clinics, blood banks, physician and dental offices, rehab facilities, insurance companies, and pain management clinics.

MedVance Institute campuses in Cookeville, Tennessee, Houston, Texas, and Miami and Palm Springs, Florida are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE)..

Faculty and Facilities

MedVance provides first class modern and spacious classrooms and labs, while continuing to update them every year to keep abreast of the ever-evolving needs of the nursing profession.  MedVance cares for their students’ education by providing a small class environment, allowing their students to have more one-on-one instruction.

Financial Aid

Students wishing to apply for financial assistance are instructed to contact the financial aid office for details of what is available to them.  Students at MedVance can access, if eligible, funds from Federal Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants, Federal Family Educational Loan Programs, vocational rehabilitation programs and Veterans' programs.
