With the advancing of technologies and the increasing geriatric population, vocational nursing is becoming a profession in high demand as it provides the essential support for physicians, patient care and health care facilities.
Kaplan College offers the expert knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to take advantage of this growing trend, allowing graduates to fill an ever-increasing need for nursing services.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent for entry in specific programs. Nursing students must also complete the Nursing Entrance Test (NET) before admission.
Practical Nursing - Diploma
A diploma curriculum, the Practical Nursing program at Kaplan College is designed to equip graduates with the skills needed in order to purse employment in this growing profession. A diverse training regiment, the Practical Nursing course of study combines classroom lectures and group work with lab training and hands-on experiences.
In addition to learning how to take vital signs, coursework also deals with basic bedside care, performing laboratory tests, giving and preparing injections, and recording fluid intake and output. A comprehensive training program, graduates will be ready to pursue employment in a number of health care facilities, including doctor's offices, hospitals, and clinics.

Faculty
