South Texas Vocational Technical Institute prepares students for entry into today’s most in-demand careers, including healthcare, business, technology, as well as an intensive course in English for ESL students.

Nursing School McAllenWith three campuses in Southern Texas, STVTC offers training programs that range from six to twelve months. The accelerated pace allows students to not only gain knowledge in their fields but also work with job placement specialists to further enhance job prospects.

The ESL program is designed to help adult students master the English language in reading, writing, and speaking.

STVTC is a school for students with purpose and a sense of goal. Their fast-paced curricula lets students get into their careers as quickly as possible with as much knowledge and know-how as possible.

About the Nursing Assistant LTC/Home Health Aid Program

Students of the Nursing Assistant LTC/Home Health Aid Program train to work with patients in long-term care situations, as well as in the home for patients recovering from illnesses. Students train in CPR, medical terminology, business communication, emergency medicine, and pharmacology.

Not only do STVTI students learn in classroom settings, they get to work in real-life nursing assistant situations, helping to care for patients. Knowledge combined with experience makes these students strong job candidates upon completion of the program.

Students of STVTI must have a high school diploma or GED, complete an admissions interview, sign an enrollment agreement, and submit any other information deemed necessary.

South Texas Vocational Technical Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Council on Occupational Education and is approved by the Texas Workforce Commission Proprietary Schools Section.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to students of STVTI. Students must fill out a FAFSA (free application for federal student aid) to determine if they are eligible. In addition, students have individual consultations with financial aid representatives in order to best finance their educations. STVTI also accepts various state, local, and private scholarships and grants.
