Associate of Science in Nursing- Associate’s Degree
A rapidly growing career field, this new nursing degree program at Virginia College is designed to equip graduates with the skills needed in order to pursue employment in a nursing home, clinic, or hospital. In addition to small class sizes, the Associate of Science in Nursing program at VC also features hands-on training on the latest medical equipment.
Taught from professionals in the field, this program covers all aspects of nursing from medical to surgical or psychiatric to pediatric. This successful nursing program ensures that graduates will be eligible to apply for state licensing with the state board of nursing.

Originally inhabited by the Muskhogean Native American people, the city of Mobile has a rich and diverse history. Joining the United States in 1813, Mobile left the United States with Alabama in 1861, and rejoined the U.S. in 1865. Throughout its history, Mobile has also been a colony for France, Britain, and Spain. This varied history is evident in the diverse population that occupies Mobile today.
While New Orleans might receive all the attention during Mardi-Gras, the city of Mobile has the oldest organized Carnival/Mardi Gras celebrations in the United States. Each year, the festival takes over the city, with parades, formal masquerade balls, and other festivities attracting visitors from around the world.
Home to the Mobile Opera, the Mobile Ballet, and the Mobile Symphony, the city of Mobile has a rich and diverse arts community.
