OrlandoThe magic began for Orlando when Walt Disney decided to locate Disney World there in the mid 1960s. He was considering Tampa and Miami but selected Orlando because it is inland and not as vulnerable to hurricanes.

Today Orlando can lay claim to offering more theme parks and entertainment venues than any other city in the world. You can go to Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando and Sea World.  After that, you can enjoy smaller entertainment venues, like the Medieval Tournament, Wonderworks or the Wet & Wild water park.

Orlando is famous for golf courses that make playing golf fun for everyone from beginners to pros. It is estimated that more than 52 million people visit the city each year. Orlando also offers a vibrant music scene with musicians and bands playing rock and roll, pop and alternative and plenty of major concerts.

Orlando is the home to many companies supporting the space program, and Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center are within easy driving distance.
