About the Licensed Practical Nursing Program
The Practical Nursing program at ECPI prepares students to be qualified and valuable members of any health care team. LPN's perform various duties under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed physician and can work in diverse settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, doctors’ offices, clinics, long-term care facilities, and more.
The demand for all types of nurses continues to grow, so ECPI graduates will find excellent job prospects. ECPI’s Practical Nursing program focuses on necessary skills, including communication, basic patient care, functioning as a team member, as well as ethical, legal, and personal responsibilities. Students benefit from classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory time, and practicing nursing in a clinical setting. This real-world approach further gives prospective Practical Nurses a taste of their future career.
In addition to nursing classes, students at ECPI benefit from general education courses to strengthen oral, written, and comprehension skills, as well as learn basic computer functions in order to be successful in their fields.

Financial Aid
ECPI accepts all forms of federal financial aid. Students should fill out a free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) to determine if they meet income requirements. In addition, ECPI offers job placement services and work study and the Tuition Assistance Student Loan Program (TASL).
Families may qualify for tax credits for tuition, such as the Hope Scholarship Credit and the Lifelong Learning Credit. The financial aid representatives at ECPI are happy to discuss these with students.
