About the Nursing Programs

The University of Phoenix offers several professional nursing programs in the Santa Teresa area.

The LPN to BSN Bridge program helps practical and vocational nurses acquire a BS in Nursing and prepares them to take the NCLEX-RN exam and to apply for licensure as registered nurses. The curriculum builds on the foundation that they already have.

Students take a minimum of 120 credit hours in liberal arts and nursing classes. The nursing classes focus on transitioning roles from vocational nurse to professional registered nurse, advanced clinical nursing practice and critical thinking.

Phoenix offers several graduate degree options for nurses in Santa Teresa. Nurses can choose to get an MBA in Health Care Management or an MSN (Master of Science in Nursing). Located inside this business park is also one of Santa Teresa's main attractions, the War Eagles Museum. This museum is a must see, especially to those of "The Greatest Generation," as it is a trip back to World War II, including 40s music.

Also boosting the growth and economy of the area is the addition of a Port of Entry to Mexico. This a 67-acre site offers quick and easy access to Mexico without the lengthy delays common at nearby El Paso's three bridges, and is a permanent facility operated by the U. S. Customs Service.
