About the Vocational Nursing Program

Healthcare is a growing field, and the demand for qualified nurses is greater than ever.  Blake Austin College’s Vocational Nursing students prepare for a challenging career as an LVN, who provides patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed doctor.  In Blake Austin College’s intensive program, future LVN's learn basic computer applications, English composition and communication, math, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and courses in patient care.  Students learn through classroom instruction and clinical experience under the supervision of a professional.

Students can complete the Vocational Nursing program in as little as one year and are prepared to take the national licensing exam, the NCLEX.

Accreditation

Blake Austin College is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education and approved by the state of California’s Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education.
