Dawn Training Center is dedicated to helping students establish or further themselves in careers that are in-demand.  This commitment means that students will have ample opportunities to find meaningful, challenging, and rewarding employment.  Career-specific education courses let students gain the knowledge they need in an expedient manner, so they can join the workforce and get their careers started.

DTC can also help make you more marketable in your current profession.  Class sizes are small, typically 15 students in a class and 8 in a lab, which allows for individualized and in-depth instruction.  Dawn Training Center works with students to develop interviewing skills and also provides placement assistance.

In addition, after you’ve graduated, you can transfer the credits you earn at Dawn Training Center to the Wilmington University towards an associates’ or bachelors’ degree.  This leaves the option of continuing your education open.

About the Nursing Assistant Program

The field of nursing assistants is growing.  It is one of the top ten occupations with the largest projected job growth, which makes this an excellent time to pursue your education in the Nurse Assistant Program.  Nurse assistants work in hospitals, doctors’ offices, clinics, nursing homes, private homes, clinics, and home health agencies.

Nurse assistants are able to develop good patient relationships and provide aspects of health care that are vital to patients.  Duties include dressing and bathing patients, turning bedridden patients, addressing patients’ fears and explaining procedures, observing patient health, and more.  An added benefit to becoming a nurse assistant is that it leaves the door wide open if you later want to become a vocational nurse or registered nurse.  There is no limit on how far your career can go, and becoming a nurse assistant is an excellent place to start.  It is also a rewarding job on its own merits.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.  Students without a diploma or GED may be eligible for admission after completing an Ability to Benefit (ATB) test, administered by a third party.

Since those days, the industry has changed, and Wilmington has become a center for the financial world.  Wilmington has become a center for the credit card industry and retail banking and offers visitors and residents alike exciting and interesting attractions.

With liberal laws governing banks within the state, Wilmington has attracted international finance and insurance companies.
